Murali Coryell keeps on keeping on...Murali Coryell, the '90s soul man, tells us that he has been very busy shopping his latest recording to the major labels. "Hopefully," he says, "it will be on a major label. It's in the hand's of the lawyers, but I can't tell what labels we are shopping it to. In the meantime, I've got to keep on with the business of booking gigs and staying busy."

Busy indeed. Coryell and company are featured on a new instructional
CD and book published by Alfred Music for its "Workshop Arts"
series. "It's titled 'Stand Alone R&B' and consists of
my arrangements of 10 standard R&B tunes. I performed them
with my band at that time Jeremy Baum on organ, T Xicus on drums
and Troy Millard on bass. It's available wherever they carry that
stuff. You could probably find it at Media Play, places like that."
